Writing Workshop:
Each class will have dedicated time for writing. Students will improve their abilities through the creation and evaluation of their own original texts.
Welcome!
I'm excited to be teaching 6th grade Humanities this year. We will focus on advanced writing, reading comprehension, geography, and vocabulary development.
Reading Comprehension:
Students will increase their understanding of the concepts of theme, character, and plot development through the analysis of short stories, non-fiction works, and full length novels.
Anchor 2
Vocabulary Aquistion:
Students will develop their literacy skills through the study of the meaning and use of 15 words per week. Appropriate difficulty levels will be made availale based on proficiency.
